Poems for Jesus: #3

Just That Kind

So this is your mercy, then
The double blind
The double bind
You put yourself through
Your mercy does cruel things to you
But you're just that kind
That's what I'm thinking when
I'm eating pods
And turning clods
And all the gold's run through
So I turn back to home and you
But you're just that kind

Alyson, I just reread this and was amazed again. Such a beautiful, true poem. Thanks for sharing. -g
